Azerbaijan Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020

Azerbaijan Pavilion at the Dubai Expo has received a lot of attention with its stunning architectural design and interior decoration. The roof of the pavilion is made of a giant leaf. The leaf shaped roof act as an air cushion for cooling to high temperature. The large windows absorb sunlight. Thereby reducing the penetration of sunlight. the pavilion shares the developments and specialties of the country through technology.

Inside the pavilion, the visitors will be able to explore the 550 square metre exhibition space. It will present a number of interactive and multimedia experiences. 1300 Square metre area designed with gardens and walkways.These green areas will also have 7 pomegranate trees and 15 Olive trees. These areas will focus on the theme of Prosperity, Peace, Justice, and wisdom.

Azerbaijan country is rich in oil reserves. It was also the first place in the world to drill an oil well. The area where the old refineries used to be is now in the process of being converted into habitable cities. The project is also known as the White City Project. Along with this, great importance is given to the idea (International dialogue for environmental action associations). 75% of construction is made of recyclable materials. The world's first electric train is said to have run in 1926 in the capital, Baku. Azerbaijan is a land of volcanoes. Azerbaijan is also home to the famous Caspian Sea. It is a commitment to sustainable development in a country rich in greenery. Maximizes the potential for rainwater harvesting and solar.


There is also established the first music conservatory in Muslim countries in Azerbaijan, which focuses on Music and 
Art. The Gaval tap and the Thar musical instrument are part of the culture of the country. Kamancha, a musical instrument similar to the Pulluvan Veena of Kerala, is also on display here. There is also a small museum set up here. There are many valuable objects display on Azerbaijan pavilion. Azerbaijan is famous for its decorative stitching called Tecolos on fabrics.





The theme of the Azerbaijan Pavilion is  Seeds For The Future. The Azerbaijan pavilion is located in the Sustainability district in the Dubai Expo 2020.

The Azerbaijan pavilion is designed by Italy- based architecture group, Simmetrico. The pavilion will house a small restuarant serving Azerbaijan dishes and drinks and a souvenir shops.
