Beautiful Valanjamkanam Falls 

Idukki Is the birth place of natural beauty. With the onset of monsoon , Idukki has once again become a land of waterfalls. In summer , dry water sources are overflow. The beauty of idukki is that even though there are few tourists to enjoy due to the covid restrictions. Valanjamkanm  waterfall is located at Murinjapuzha in peermedu thaluk in Idukki district of Kerala. The approximate height of the waterfall is 75 ft. Now valanjamkanam waterfall was filled with water. The waterfall is located on the Kollam - Theni  National Highway between  Kuttikanam and Murinjapuzha. The waterfall disappears slowly during the summer and remains active for about 10 months. The streams that  breaks in the summer without running water, during the monsoon season the streams  become waterlogged. It is said that this is the reason why this place got the name Murinjapuzha.




The waterfall on the Kottayam- Kumali road is always a favourite destination of tourists and Sabarimala pilgrims. Street vendors also prepare a variety of delicious fruit dishes. Salted Mangoes, gooseberries and pineapples are a favourite of all tourists. Also known as Valanjamkanam falls, Murinjapuzha falls, Kesari falls and Ninnumullipara falls. This is a good place where you can even get out of the car without any hassle. Valanjamkanam falls is located near the Murinjapuzha on the Kottayam- Kumali route, located on the hairpin bend. This waterfall can only be seen if you come close. If you travel on a rainy days you can see many waterfalls on the both sides of the roads. The uniqueness of this waterfall is that you do not have to walk anywhere.

To Reach.

Valanjamkanam falls is located at Murinjapuzha on the Kottayam- Kumali  or  KK road. This waterfall is located just before kuttikanam on the way from Kottayam.
