Asif Khan says that this is the biggest mashrabiya in the world. A feature of Mashrabi is its Islamic architectural style, which combines window openings and other construction methods that are invisible from the outside but visible from the inside out. This construction method helps to maintain privacy but also to reduce the wind and heat. It has all the elements of spirituality and antiquity. The windows of the ancient houses of Arabia were all built in the same style. The portals is 21 meters high and 30 meters wide. But it weighs only 18 tons.

Each portals remarkable appearance come being woven entirely from standards of ultra light weight carbon fiber composite that lend incredible structural strength. Its just as thick as paper. It helps to filter the light and reduce the heat by allowing more air to pass through.

The portals features of two vast doors, each door is 21 metres high and 10.5 metres wide. Which will be opened every morning of Expo 2020 Dubai ina symbolic act of welcoming the world. Such large mashrabiya gaps were built by aircraft manufacturers using carbon fiber. Dubai was brought to Jebel Ali Port from Bavaria, Germany via Antwerp, the second largest port in Europe. It was also the largest construction brought to the Expo. Apart from this, many of the seats at the expo are designed by Asif Khan as if written in Arabic letters. They are modelled on words like Hub ( love) Karama (dignity) and Al Salam (Peace). In addition, Khan and his team have planted 30,000 plants and 7,000 gaff trees to make the expo area greener.
