Thusharagiri falls is one of the famous waterfalls in Kerala. This waterfall is not really located in Wayanad. However, it is originated from the wayanadan hills. Thusharagiri is located in the middle of wayanad and Kozhikode district. Thusharagiri literally means Snow Capped Mountains. This waterfall is of natural beauty. The waterfalls down in layers. There is a tourism gate near the kandappan chal bridge on the way to the place from near the second bend of the pass which comes 50 km from Kozhikode via Wayanad road. There you can enter the waterfall by paying the entrance fee. The kalpetta , Thusharagiri- Beppur road , which is a combination of the major tourist destinations of the Wayanad- Kozhikode districts of kerala, passes through it. The river chalipuzha joins two streams that orginates from the western ghats . The river then turns into three and falls into three waterfalls like an iceberg.

The three major waterfalls are Eratumukku, Thumbithullumpara and Mazhavill chattam. The name "Thusharagiri" came from this. It is a popular destination for natural lovers, trekkers and mountaineers alike. The Malabar river festival, Asia's largest river water kayaking, takes place near thusharagiri. This fall is most beautiful during the months of September to November. Its during these times that more and more tourists come here. The largest is the the thumbithullumpara falls, which is about 75 Meters high. Those who wish to climb the hills can reach vaithiri from here. Arippara falls, pathakayam falls, vellarimala,pookode lake, Wayanad pass, edakkal cave and kuruva island can be reached from here very quickly.
